What is reflexology?
Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary therapy that can be practiced on various parts of the body including the feet, hands, ears and face.
Reflexologists believe that we have points (reflexes) on the feet, that correspond with different parts of the body. When these 'reflexes' are massaged it may help to unblock our energy paths, promote better health, help the body to restore its natural balance both physically and mentally and also help with your sense of wellbeing. Not only may this
At Lavender Blue I use the traditional reflexology method using the feet. I am trained in a range of reflexology techniques including spinal, digestive, reproductive, maternity, lymphatic drainage and traditional.
What is massage therapy?
Massage therapy uses a range of techniques to help manipulate the muscles and connective tissue to help release tension, fluid build up and realign the body to help it work in its correct state. There are many benefits that come with regular massage. Promoting physical and mental wellbeing, aid sleep, increased mobility to joints, reduction in stress levels, stimulation of lymphatic drainage system and increase circulation.
I am trained in a number of techniques including Swedish, lymphatic drainage, myofascial, silicone soft cup, hot stone, pregnancy and abdominal.
Every person’s physical and emotional needs are different. That’s why it’s so important that your treatment is tailor made to you and your needs. I am proud to say at Lavender blue holistic therapies I do exactly that.
What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy uses essential oils to help enhance both physical and mental health. Essential oils are extracted from different parts of plants and then used in various forms including massage, inhalation and topical. They not only carry health benefits but they can help with symptoms associated with various medical conditions including hormone imbalances, respiratory conditions, auto immune conditions, lymphatic conditions and digestive conditions. They can also help with nausea, pain relief, inflammation and relaxation .
At Lavender blue, I offer aromatherapy as a bespoke stand alone treatment, it is also used in all massage and reflexology treatments. There are also some treatments, including reproductive, maternity and relaxation that include aromatherapy blends to take home to help your symptoms after you have left the therapy room.
It's not just about your treatment
Alongside being a massage therapist, reflexologist and aromatherapist, I am a qualified maternity and postnatal yoga teacher, an antenatal teacher and I have my level 5 professional nutrition diploma, up until recently I taught in both Tidworth and Salisbury . I believe to get the most of your treatment and to allow the benefits to extend further than the therapy room, then nutrition, lifestyle and relaxation play an important role. Where possible I try and incorporate my knowledge into your treatment. I have created a number of self help sheets, videos and audios to support you and allow you to reap the benefits further than the treatment room. Please visit the Self help page or please drop me a message.
